Channel expansion critical to WatchGuard’s growth strategy

WatchGuard® Technologies, a leader in advanced network security solutions, today announced that it has appointed Bluechip Infotech as the company’s third distributor in Australia complementing the company’s existing distribution relationships with Dicker Data and Exclusive Networks.

The new appointment will enable WatchGuard to expand its regional footprint to meet the growing demand for network security solutions and services among SMB, mid-market and distributed enterprises. At the same time, it will further expand WatchGuard’s presence in Australia by expanding its channel and enabling it to reach new touchpoints with Bluechip InfoTech’s strong network of managed service providers.

Mark Sinclair, ANZ Regional Manager WatchGuard Technologies, said, “WatchGuard is looking to increase sales in Australia this year and our relationship with all three distributors is a key part of that overall growth strategy. Expanding our channel focus to reach more SMB and mid-market enterprise customers with Bluechip Infotech and its channel network of managed service providers will help us accelerate growth moving forward.
“At the same time, Bluechip Infotech has a progressive online marketplace which plays nicely in the managed service provider market making it a seamless exercise to deliver WatchGuard solutions and manage demand,” says Mark Sinclair, ANZ Regional Manager, WatchGuard Technologies.

Ideal for SMBs and distributed enterprise organisations, WatchGuard’s Unified Threat Management appliances are designed from the ground up to focus on ease of deployment, use, and ongoing management, in addition to providing the strongest security possible.

Johnson Hsiung, Managing Director, Bluechip InfoTech, said, “WatchGuard’s addition to the Bluechip Infotech business will strengthen our overall offering in the network security space and reinforce our position and ability to service the Australian SMB and mid-market business sector. We are also excited about the market opportunity which WatchGuard will provide to both our resellers and managed service providers who are always looking for innovative and new solutions to meet changing customer demands.”

WatchGuard will provide Bluechip Infotech with sales training, certification programs and marketing resources. The company will also benefit from access to the WatchGuard Learning Center, an advanced learning management system accessible from the WatchGuard Partner Portal which delivers personalised educational paths in sales readiness, channel enablement, and technical trainings through a web-based learning environment that can be accessed at any time and from anywhere.
